Associated Member of SAE ITC AEEC and ARINC

We are proud to announce that Karman Aerospace is now officially an SAE ITC Associate Member for AEEC activities. This allows us to participate in defining new aviation standards to be used in the future. Together with the industry these standards are kept up to date and ensure that aircraft and equipment are standardized. As we primarily manufacture equipment, we will take part in defining systems design, interfaces, data buses, hardware and software design, and data link standards.

Some of the most well-known aerospace standards are defined and maintained by SAE ITC. Probably the most popular example is the ARINC-429 DITS standard. It defines a data bus used for decades that is still in use today by older aircraft types. Its modern equivalents ARINC-664 or ARINC-825, and others are also standardized by SAE ITC. In the near future, an ethernet-based field bus will be added. Being part of SAE ITC will allow us to actively contribute to the standards and stay ahead of current technology developments in the aviation industry. Developing our products specifically for these standards is the biggest benefit for us.
